Vision: Our vision is to promote healthy living and improve the quality of life in our community.

Mission: Our mission is to encourage healing, growth, and personal development through whole person care and community connectedness. Our services are strength based and client centered; we strive to create a safe environment and serve all with dignity, respect, and compassion.

We are available to talk with you by phone or in-person at our main clinic in Mammoth if you want to discuss our services and how we can be of the most help to you. We offer therapy, case management, telepsychiatry, and substance use disorder counseling to Mono County residents. Members of our talented staff are available to work with you whether you are managing a serious mental illness, need help with depression and anxiety, or you're struggling with addiction. Our services are available in English and Spanish. We also provide services in our satellite locations in Walker/Coleville, Bridgeport, and Benton. Click here to learn more about our staff.

Mono County Behavioral Health is here for all Medi-Cal beneficiaries and when possible other county residents. If you are wondering how you can afford behavioral health services, we will help you sort out your Medi-Cal, Health Families, CMSP, or private insurance provider information. We also have a sliding scale for those who do not have insurance but would like to benefit from our services. We offer “intake on demand” -- all you have to do is show up or call and we can help get you engaged with what you need. We can also help link you with Primary Medical Care, Public Health, Social Services, and other community services.

Our after-hours Crisis Team can be accessed by dialing 911. If you are feeling suicidal or like you can’t keep yourself or those around you safe, call 911 immediately and the dispatcher will direct you to our crisis team.

If you are feeling concerned about your substance use or you have a family member you are worried about, we will be happy to meet with you to work on a plan for treatment. We provide outpatient alcohol and drug counseling in individual and group settings; we can also help you find residential treatment if that is what you are looking for. We also provide such court-mandated services as the DUI Program, Batterer Intervention/Anger Management Program, Addition Severity Index Assessments, and PC1000 (Drug Diversion) Program.

If you would like to find out more about our community-based programs, activities, and services, please visit our Community Events page and our Wellness Center page. Many of the programs we offer are funded by the Mental Health Services Act (Proposition 63) and are free and open to all Mono County residents. We also now offer text reminders for appointments - if you're interested, be sure to ask your provider or the front office staff.
